Connecting Resources
The 7th in a series of EGEE Industry Day takes place on the 23rd of February 2007 in Budapest (Hungary). The event is hosted by  the Budapest University of Technology and Economics Centre of Information Technology () and BME Innovation and Knowledge Centre of Information Technology .

EGEE aim is to create and deploy Grid technologies to enable the widespread uptake of eScience applications throughout the European Research Area. EGEE is now in full production mode, and with over 200 sites with a total of more than 20000 CPUs and 5PB of storage is currently one of the largest international Grid infrastructures ever assembled. It aims to cover a wide variety of applications sectors, starting from High Energy Physics and BioMed and expanding to Earth Sciences and now moving into the Industrial sector.

The one day event demonstrates to businesses, in particular to the SMEs, the advantages of Grid technology. We invite the users who need more resources and more capacity in computing power and storage. The event will provide insight into the current Grid demands and Grid infrastructure solutions available to meet these demands, through user-friendly Grids for commercial use.
