Programme

The of EGEE'08 will feature keynotes of world-renowned Grid experts and parallel tracks covering a wide spectrum of Grid related topics. First and foremost, EGEE’08 will demonstrate the benefits of the large-scale production Grids for the growing number of scientific communities and business sectors. Also, it will look into sustainability aspects of Grid technologies.

The program will feature five tracks:

The business track will showcase successful business Grid adoptions and discuss strategies to further foster Grid technologies in business and industries. A thematic track will feature technological issues like the future of Grid middleware components, Grid adoption in various scientific application domains and other Grid related topics. The progress of EGEE and its future roadmap will be the focus of the EGEE activity track.

This program is complemented by a Demo and Poster session showcasing innovative Grid solutions and application usage of Grids. A series of workshops organised by other projects will also be featured at EGEE'08.

Training


EGEE's User Training and Induction activity () will hold a two day on 20-21 September in conjunction with the EGEE'08 conference. The training will target new and experienced Grid users who wish to learn about EGEE Grid services and develop new Grid applications using high level tools.
